JULY 31: Kernow confirms green Heljan ‘33s’

Heljan is to produce two early BR green BRCW Type 3s (Class 33s) for Kernow Model Rail Centre. The Danish company has so far declined to release its ‘OO’ Class 33 in original condition as the body tooling includes modifications made the roof in later years. However, in response to customer feedback suggesting that the majority of modellers are willing to overlook this small detail, KMRC has commissioned two locomotives – D6581 and D6583. The models are limited to just 300 pieces each and will cost £84.99 each (post free in UK) or £165.00 for the pair. Delivery is expected in October.
Also in the pipeline for Kernow is a Bachmann ‘OO’ model of GB Railfreight 66705 Golden Jubilee (expected January 2008), and two InterCity Mainline livery Class 37/4s from ViTrains Models – 37417 Highland Region and 37420 The Scottish Hosteller. See www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com for more information.

I wouldn't buy a Bachmann special Edition GBRF Class 66 unless someone was to do the newer first GBRF Low Emission version from the range 66723 - 66727 in 00 Gauge as I think 705 looks like it is a huge piece of graffiti and doesn't look right on the ripples, not the model graffiti in moderation on layouts works ok, on the actual prototype it is an eyesore!
