A Watery Week

Having left Bretton Court, where the roof has sprung a leak during the recent storms, we were looking forward to at least being dry while we empty our packing crates. However, during yet another downpour on Thursday, the ceiling directly above our desks started to leak water – nice of our new office to make us feel at home.

Water was the theme for Chris, too, as he set off to take detail photographs for a future Model Rail/Bachmann limited edition. The vehicle in question was in a yard in Herefordshire and Chris set off on the Saturday of the big flood, having checked beforehand that the main roads were open. Of course, the situation changed quite rapidly as the day wore on, and he got no further than junction 6 of the M5 before having to admit defeat and return home. Hopefully he’ll be able to complete the exercise before too long. In meantime you’ll find details of our next two limited editions in Model Rail No. 108 (on sale August 16) - a set of three TTA tank wagons in Jet A1 aviation fuel livery, and the ‘Queen Mary’ brake van as a personnel carrier in S&T livery as part of our Satlink series. Chris’s verdict on the pre-production samples “Brilliant – the best yet!”
