Bratchell Class 319/1 EMU

Bratchell Models is to produce the Class 319/1 4 car dual voltage EMU as a 4mm:1ft scale kit for ‘OO/EM/P4’. Tooling is underway and BM expects the Advance order kits to arrive in around 5 weeks time.

For the first time, Bratchell is to modify a kit specifically for finescale modellers who prefer to add their own etched windscreen wipers. The compant says; “There will be a costly interruption within the tooling process to allow for a STRICTLY LIMITED ONCE ONLY production run of Class 319/1 kits that will include cab ends prior to the windscreen wipers, handles etc. being permanently added into the tooling, so once the limited stock of these special kits has been exhausted, there can be no re-ordering.”

The official launch of the kit is planned for the Warley NEC exhibition in December 2007 with general release envisaged in 2008.

Price including UK p&p is £140 for BM83191, the ‘EM’ & ‘P4’ version, £150 for BM63191, without the windscreen wipers and £188.00 for BM73191, the ‘OO’ wheeled version. Details of liveries choices that will be available on the ‘ready to motorise’ service on BM73191 are scheduled for announcement nearer to the launch date. Overseas p&p rates on request. Like all Bratchell Models kits, the ‘319’ consists of kit-form bodyshells, ends and bogies and requires a motor bogie, paints, transfers and a pantograph to complete.
