FIRST LOOK - Strict Line 7mm LMS coaches

Ready-to-run 7mm:1ft scale modelling has taken another leap forward with the launch of highly-detailed LMS Period III coaches by Strict Line.

Three versions are available initially, with exquisitely detailed interiors and optional internal LED lighting; Diagram 1904 Vestibule (open) Third and D.2007 Brake Gangwayed (BG) in LMS crimson and a D.1904 Vestibule Third in BR crimson and cream. The fourth model will be a D.1981 Vestibule Third in 1937 ‘Coronation Scot’ blue/silver, which should be available at the Gauge O Guild’s ‘Guildex 2007’ event at Telford on September 1/2. More LMS and BR coaches are planned, with stock from other ‘Big Four’ companies and BR proposed in the longer term.
Standard coaches cost £270 (£310 with lighting) and the Period III BG is £230. Coaches are also available in kit form, including Slater’s wheels for £120 (BG) and £140 (D.1904 Vestibule Third).
Development of Strict Line models is led by a team of experienced model makers from St Petersburg in Russia and the models are imported into the European Union by Trans Europ Trains of Paris.
